Corine & I had a great time working with Leslie & David. They were really a fun couple and their wedding was a blast! They were married at the St. Louis Cathedral which is special to Corine and I because we were also married there. Then the reception followed at Pat O's, which is where we had ours as well!
My friends Angela & Viet were married on August 25. Corine was home getting ready for Jess's party so I went solo to the wedding. It seems the only way I am able to attend my friends weddings these days is if I shoot them. I had a great time and was able to see lots of old friends. The reception was at Southern Oaks, one of my favorite places to work.
Saturday night Beebe & I hosted a couples shower for my best friend Jessica. Everyone had a great time and the party was a huge success! We got the delicious and beautiful cake from Flour Power, they have just amazing cakes. We first found Flour Power at a wedding we shot, they made the brides cake and it was amazing. We have since gotten all our cakes from them. Our friend Diem with Bella Blooms did the gorgeous flower arrangements. The delicious food came from Martins Wine Cellar, Perrone & Sons and from Dayna! She cooked, I assisted and nothing got burned! Had I been cooking... we might not have been so lucky!
Jess & Mark are getting married on December 22, 2007 and I will be a bridesmaid. Hopefully my bridesmaid dress will fit me, I'll be just 3 moths post pregnancy! We have been so busy with work and preparing for the party that I have not been doing a good job keeping up with the blog! If I have not posted your wedding yet, I promise I will soon.
Two fabulous weddings, 2 weekends in a row! Did we mention that we got to work with the Top Cats at Both Cristina's and Beth's weddings? Awesome!
Check out our awesome baby shower cake from Flour Power Bakery in Chalmette. Corine's friends got her the White Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake and the description will make your mouth water, "Six layers of white cake soaked with strawberry syrup, filled with white chocolate cream & fresh sliced strawberries, iced with white chocolate mousse & garnished with white chocolate shavings & dipped strawberries"
Did we mention they make fantastic wedding cakes?
We had a great time shooting Patrice & Dwayne on their wedding day. The 2nd line band rocked and the dance floor was packed!
